My apartment is perched on a steep hill- the tree to the right of the ramp is where they grow. So the other day I walked down the steep part of that hill to capture some of the smiling faces.
It was harder coming back up because I was wearing backless shoes, and my feet kept wanting to slide out...but I made it!

The ladies of spring. That is a nice header. You may have had it for awhile, but I am noticing it today.
ReplyDeleteThanks. On my forest/creek walk, this is the furthest I can go. There was a couple coming behind me, but slowly with their dog...so I was grateful to be able to stop and photograph a few views of this idyllic scene. In summer there are some kids that make the pool their swimming hole.
DeleteI love seeing daffodils. Thanks for showing these. I planted quite a few last fall but no signs of them yet. Snow on the ground here still.
ReplyDeleteI am always amazed to find some daffodils blooming on slopes where nobody could live...they were probably thrust up there with machines making a road wider.
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty flowers, our are just starting to pop out of the ground. Take care, enjoy your day and week ahead.
Yes, I agree they are such pretty little gems. Have a good week yourselves!
Delete...beautiful and it's snowing here!
ReplyDeleteAh, you speak of the return of winter, and I speak of the return of spring. We are actually having cold fronts come through, and snow is possible next weekend.
DeleteI will be glad when we get to see some of those smiling faces.
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope you take some photos of them also!
DeleteThey're very pretty!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks.
DeleteBeautiful spring time daffodils!
ReplyDeleteA big thanks to you!
DeleteDaffies! It's so good to see them! Happy spring to you!
ReplyDeleteThere are a few other flowers that have popped up, with lots of rain I'm waiting for it to dry out enough to walk to where they are and take their pictures.
DeleteBeauty for the eyes.
ReplyDeleteYou said it, Bill!
DeleteBarbara, Love the photo you used as your header! Being here in East Tennessee, we also have forsythias, tulip trees and those invasive Bartlett pear trees all in bloom. As for the brownies you made and are rationing, we just don't ration all that well. It's all about a lack of willpower. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteThanks...mountain streams have long been a favorite place to visit...I used to go roaming in Smoky Mountain Park also. I forgot to eat a brownie yesterday...they aren't all that enticing. Oh, I want to go looking for forsythias, now that you mentioned them!
DeleteIt's exciting to see the first flowers of spring! But wear your tennis shoes next time!
ReplyDeleteYou said it...I've got them on today, and if the mud dries up (this is Wed. now) I'll go catch some more flowers in bloom!
DeleteSo glad to see your spring pictures because that means spring might come here in a month or so.
ReplyDeleteWell, I do think things like spring are kind of inevitable, even though slow to appear when we wish them to.
DeleteWe don't have spring flowers yet, but it won't be too long. The snow is melting a little more each day. In my yard snowdrops are usually the first blooms.
