Update about blogCa

I-40 picked up the old Rte. 66 somewhere along the way, maybe Little Rock, maybe Oklahoma City. But it is the 100th anniversary of Rte 66 so I enjoyed thinking about my parents driving on part Of it in. St. Louis at least. Here we continued from Santa Rosita to Gallup NM, then left both highways to go north to CO.

From the Grandmothers - Love is all there is

 August 24, 2023 Newsletter

Love is All there is.
Speak of the One Love,” the Grandmothers said, and I thought to myself, “Okay, Grandmothers, but what about it?”
“Love is all there is,” they replied, “and because it is, you are ‘living’ it now. Living the One Love at every moment.” They laughed then, amused by my bewildered look. “We see on your face that you think, ‘The One Love must be some big, important state. Some rare summit.’ You think like that,” they said. “Nonsense!” they cried and threw up their hands.
“You are swimming in a sea of love, you are cooking in a soup of love. You breathe love in with each breath you take and then you send it out. You do this at every moment of your life.” “What?” I said to them, and continued to stare, dumbfounded by their description.
“You are so unknowing,” they laughed, “almost sound asleep. Don’t you see?” they asked me. “You ARE the One Love. What else could you be?” they, asked and then they stared me down, waiting, with their fists on their hips. “Love is your nature,” they said at last, “it’s, who you are. It’s in your breath, it’s in your every thought and feeling. You are it!”  they gleefully announced and then they grinned broadly, seeming to be enjoying my discomfort.
“Stop kidding yourself,” they said then, and waved their hands in my face. “Stop playing games with yourself. Stop entertaining all the trivia that takes over in your mind. “Oh dear, what about this?” they pantomimed. What do I do about that? What if? What if?…..”
Stop it!” they commanded me. Stop all that chatter and instead, sit down, be quiet, and FEEL us,” they said. “FEEL our presence. We’re right here. Feel your heart beating now,” they said. “F E E L,” they repeated, and finally I did as they asked. I felt. I let go of the questioning, the worry, and instead, I felt my heart beating. I became aware of my breath and then I began to feel it all. The warmth in my body, how it felt to sit on the chair, the breeze flowing in from the open window.
“Ah….I exhaled. “And y e s……,” I finally said, drawing out the word with a sigh. “I get it. I get it, Grandmothers. Yes,” I said again. “This is it. This is what you mean. This IS who I am,” I said in surprise. “This IS the truth. This feeling of love is home base for me. It’s real. Everything else is just scatter. It’s a lot of nothing, really…just nothing,” I said, “only fragments of mental fluff. It’s not real, it’s not true, but this Feeling….this  is real,” I said with conviction. “This feeling is Oneness. Oneness with you, Grandmothers,” I said. “Oneness with you, with everything, Oneness with everyone. This,” I said to my patient teachers, “is the real deal. Not that busy little nothing stuff that comes and goes in my head,” I said. “The feeling of Oneness is real.”
“Yes,” the Grandmothers agreed, smiling serenely, “Love is all there is.”

A Happy Announcement
A brave mother and daughter from Ukraine will join us at the Net of Light Gathering in Trier, Germany.  Many worked hard to get them there, contributing transportation, housing and funds for their trip and we are delighted to be able to celebrate with them as the Grandmothers enfold us together in the One Love.
May all the Beings in all the Worlds be Happy!
Sing

We have received feedback from several people on how singing the Grandmother's songs really uplifts them. So every newsletter we will put one in the picture.

Most of the songs we sing at gatherings and Online Teachings are on the website.Under Media and then songs. The lyrics are there also in a songbook at the top of the page and there even is a version of the songs with chords added to them.

This month we put this song in the spotlight:

A great newsletter speaking to my heart

Net of Light/The Grandmothers Speak

news@netoflight.org via netoflight.ccsend.com

July 12, 2023 Newsletter

A Great Wave of Love is Surging….

The Grandmothers spoke. “A great wave of love is surging now, rushing forward from your heart into the universe. This wave is rushing through the Net of light, the Fabric of Being of the Universe, and then back again into your own heart. Today love and light are circulating in a new and powerful way. There is a great rush now, a fulsome rush, and none can withstand it.

“Although everyone and everything on Earth will be effected by this powerful surge, only those who are focused in their hearts will be fully aware of it—those who are tuned to the rhythms of love. Others may notice a shifting and a change, but they won’t know what it is. You, however, are tuned within.

So listen now,” the Grandmothers said, “and focus your awareness inward. Experience the rush of love that’s pouring into you. As you stop what you’re doing and pay attention inside yourself, you will begin to swell with goodness of every kind. This goodness will come on and on, pouring into you endlessly, and when you can hold no more of it, the on-rush will spill out, flooding love throughout all the strands of the Net of Light.

This is how it works,” the Grandmothers said. “The Net of Light feeds your heart with radiance so that your heart can feed yet more light back into the Net of Light. This movement of love and light is reciprocal,” they stated and then paused and took a long look at me. They studied me for a while and then spoke. “For many years, you have worked hard to stay focused within your heart,” they said, “intent on staying tuned to the Net of Light. You have disciplined yourself to do this no matter what was going on. Well,” they said, their heads nodding together, “you’ve done it. Your hard work has paid off and you have now become a vessel of love and light.” I stared at them then. Nonplussed, understanding what they were saying, but amazed by it.

Share this message of the great wave of love with as many as possible,” they said. “The time has come for humanity to live in a surging sea of light and love. Moving in love, living in love, awash in love. No longer will you be stuck in a darkened place. For you there will be no more separation from the Source. No more!” they cried. And shaking their heads, they added, “You are an embodiment of light, an embodiment of love. That is your nature,” they said, pointing fingers at me/us for emphasis. “Accept it,” they said. “This is what you are. You are an embodiment of love. You are a walking blessing upon the Earth.

“Remember this,” they said, “and then hold your head up, walk forward proudly and watch what happens. Others will begin to ‘see’ who you are and many of them will join you. It’s time!” they said. “It’s time for humankind to glow with the inner love and light that you are….” And humming softly, they smiled to themselves and crooned, “Embodiments of love.”

Calling all Grand Mothers and then some!

Calling All Grand Mothers
We have to live differently
or we will die in the same old ways.
Therefore I call on all Grand Mothers,
everywhere on the planet,
to rise and take your place
in the leadership of the world.
Come out of the kitchen
out of the fields
out of the beauty parlors
out of the television.
Step forward and assume
the role for which you were created:
To lead humanity to health, happiness and sanity.
I call on all the Grand Mothers of Earth
and every person who possesses
the Grand Mother spirit of respect for life
and protection of the young
to rise and lead.
The life of our species depends on it.
And I call on all men of Earth
to gracefully and gratefully stand aside
and let them (let us) do so.

Big thanks to...

Hymn for the Hurting
By Amanda Gorman
Everything hurts,
Our hearts shadowed and strange,
Minds made muddied and mute.
We carry tragedy, terrifying and true.
And yet none of it is new;
We knew it as home,
As horror,
As heritage.
Even our children
Cannot be children,
Cannot be.
Everything hurts.
It’s a hard time to be alive,
And even harder to stay that way.
We’re burdened to live out these days,
While at the same time, blessed to outlive them.
This alarm is how we know
We must be altered —
That we must differ or die,
That we must triumph or try.
Thus while hate cannot be terminated,
It can be transformed
Into a love that lets us live.
May we not just grieve, but give:
May we not just ache, but act;
May our signed right to bear arms
Never blind our sight from shared harm;
May we choose our children over chaos.
May another innocent never be lost.
Maybe everything hurts,
Our hearts shadowed & strange.
But only when everything hurts
May everything change.

Amanda Gorman

Amanda Gorman has an auditory processing disorder and is hypersensitive to sound. She also had a speech impediment during childhood. Gorman participated in speech therapy during her childhood and Elida Kocharian of The Harvard Crimson wrote in 2018, "Gorman doesn't view her speech impediment as a crutch—rather, she sees it as a gift and a strength."Gorman told The Harvard Gazette in 2018, "I always saw it as a strength because since I was experiencing these obstacles in terms of my auditory and vocal skills, I became really good at reading and writing. I realized that at a young age when I was reciting the Marianne Deborah Williamson quote that 'Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure'

Born 69 years before her, Part 1.

Nancy Jones Traylor Powell

Birth 16 May 1804 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia

Death 27 Jun 1881 in Old Waverly, Walker, Texas

I started this blog about the year I was 69.  All the adventure, some not so great, that happened in that year.  Then I noticed that the grandmother after whom I was named was born 69 years before myself...though she didn't live to be 69.

And I knew eventually I'd look for someone who was born 69 years before her.

Here she is.

Now how is she my great x3 grandmother?

My father's father was George Rogers.
His mother was Bette Bass Rogers (see her blog Here).
Her mother was Mary Ann Elizabeth Powell Bass, (see blog about her HERE).
Her mother was Nancy Jones Traylor Powell.

I first looked into her life on a blog last year HERE.  At that time I was just learning things about her, and a year later I've found more than I expected, some of which is questionable.

According to Ancestry.com, she had 14 siblings.  She was the third child in the family.  One of her brothers, also born in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, died where she did in Walker County, Texas, Dr. John Randolph Traylor, (1807-1864).

Her parents, Champion Travis Traylor, Sr. and Sarah Jones Traylor, moved to Selma, Alabama by the birth of their 10th child in 1817.  They had their next child born in Perry County, Alabama in 1819.

In 1821 a son was born back in Jaspar, GA (listed in Ancestry as living till 1855) who was given the same name as their living son, Champion Travis Traylor, Jr. (1809-1877)  I find this highly unlikely, don't you?

In 1822 back in Perry County, AL, another child was born, then Ancestry lists 2 more children of these parents without birth dates or places.  Another highly unlikely connection.

So I'll make an assumption of the Traylors having maybe only 11 of the 14 listed children.

Come back tomorrow as I review more of this great times 3 grandmother.

Gymnastics

Action taking place at a distance means it's pretty hard to get pictures.  Girl in purple is flying throuhg the air from one bar to another.  She did marvelously well!

I took some movies, but they are taking forever to load.  My 11 year old granddaughter was one of the best performers in the YWCA meet last weekend.  Her little sis took part for the first time in a Gymnastics meet...she's 6.

I am a proud grandmother, of course!
