From wonderful art and flowers, to more art

 ----------

And the Asheville Art Museum's permanent collection offers this:

Oops, you can't be expected to read that sign.  But I did like the fabric art hanging by it.

A bit of enlargement.

Two new Kalanchoe plants to brighten my front porch view. I've never seen (let alone had) any with these super blossoms, and just look at those huge leaves! Someone gave them a good shot of fertilizer.

(Notes on health: pm -THanks for the comments about my dizziness yesterday. It improved about by half...just can move slowly and hold head upright as much as possible. Grab the wall or furniture if I try to do otherwise!

Pulmonologist finally called (after my nap) to say to quit the antibiotic for a few days, see if that helps. If so, then take half the dose they started me with. OK by me.

Morning Friday. I can get out of bed, walk around (oh I feel like I'm walking my acres of land to just stroll from one window to another opening them to the cool air!) No head problems, I'm so much lighter feeling and no dizziness (for now!) Yes I meditated and am deeply grateful for return to normal. And I was really touched by my blog friends' support yesterday when I had to just sit here most of the day...not moving my head if possible!

Fuschia or magenta, bright pinkish purple?

May I introduce my new Kalanchoe plant...(also in the header for a while)

I've not been feeling top of my world lately. Which means cutting back on studio time. It is easier to be at home when coughing a lot, and fighting a cold coming on perhaps. I am also having pain in my hands which doesn't get better by working in cold clay. Maybe arthritis. What part of me is working perfectly well? Mmm, that requires some thought. I've been told I have excellent kidney function!

And I found myself saving someone else's photo of digitalis. Interesting also in the purple/pink shades!

Closer perspective

These huge kalanchoes now sit by my steps. Obviously Miracle-grow makes big leaves grow!

They often get sunburned here by the walk and the stairs, so I'm not sure how long I'll leave them here.

Yes, those are some of my flower pots from my days as a potter.

I think I'll have to bring these inside for winter time. But now is the glorious end of summer, beginning of fall. I like it very much.

Sleeping with the windows open again. Ah. Woke up to no mountains showing because of the fog. But only in the 50s outside. I waited till the 70s showed in the sunshine to walk to where I had to park up the long hill yesterday, to drive my car back down to near my home...so I could load it with a cart full of my laundry. These tiny apartments don't include laundry facilities, and I choose to go to a laundromat rather than use the small machines they have here at Blue Ridge Apartments laundry room. I can put all my clothes, sheets and towels in one machine which handles 30 pounds of laundry there, and the big drier is done in 30 minutes! So I'm trying to psych myself up to going and doing it! And I must remind myself each time I get out of the car to put my mask on!

On another topic, one that deals with a political event in Texas, I hope anyone who reads this who lives in Texas will make efforts to get this law changed! Here's a description by NPR about the new anti-abortion law and the vigilantism that it promotes with a $10,000 bonus. Texas Law that Bans Abortion in 2021
