Settled on the other blog

I updated the header, finally "layout" is working here on blogger.

I also got my first email from Blogger about having too many movies on it. But when I followed the weird Google instructions, I think it was trying to download all my blogs, not just the movies. So I cancelled that!

They can toss the old movies, most of which I didn't even realize were there.

I'm happy working with the Durango blog for now. And even though I learned the new app (Feedly) and loaded all my blogs I follow, I find they are still not updated, anywhere anymore. Sigh. So if I haven't commented, it may be because I haven't seen your blog lately...even though you just posted.

Coping.

That's what my friend Helen said my super power is.

Mmm.

Michael Sherman's quilt after the Book of Kells.

I hope you'll visit Life in Durango sometime. I've been feeling much better (cooler weather?) and am going to have something besides photos from my windows in the apartment to share soon!

What work habits, what discipline, would allow me to best pour love into this work?   If I can do that, everything else will fall into place.  More than anything else, to do a work of love, you need to love yourself. You need to be constantly checking in. “Am I taking care of myself?”, “Am I treating myself and my time with respect and care? Am I gentle with myself?”, “Am I avoiding what I need to avoid in order to focus?”  Much of this boils down to self-discipline. Discipline to avoid distractions, discipline to put time and thought into a work, but also discipline to take time off. To set the work aside so that it can percolate, rumble around inside you until it is ready to manifest.  - Heron Dance

  1. OMG, that Book of Kells quilt -- so gorgeous! My Blogger blog feed seems to be back to normal now, thank goodness!

    1. I've been getting a few blog feed updates too. Thankful I guess, to have something that was broken be fixed.

    1. It certainly is. I noticed it's like a print, not piece-work.

  3. That quilt is amazing. I wonder how many hours are in it. I found if you click on the title of the blog it will take you to the newest post.

    1. I've been doing that for days/weeks...and sometimes there's a new post, and sometimes not, and they aren't listed in any order. Some say last updated a week ago, but they posted hours ago. It is totally a mess.

  4. I received a similar message. Yes, it would be downloading your blog, I presumed in a scrunched form that could be expanded if you ever wanted to do that.

    1. It seems to infer that just the videos will be removed. If it's the whole blog, can they do that? Just remove all the contents? Yikes!

  5. Oh my - that quilt is spectacular. I never got around to Feedly. Some blogs are updated on my sidebar and some are not. I have gone old school. I have a list of my favorites (which turned out much longer than I expected) and I visit everyone every day that I can. I do not read or comment if I have already seen it.

  6. Williams put it beautifully: only love matters.

  7. That quilt would be incredible if it were not pieced, which I suspect that it is. That makes it doubly incredible. It's breathtaking, as are the hills in your photo.

  8. Yes, I received that email about saving videos and was confused about what it meant! I ran it through AI which explained that it was just about those particular videos and I didn't need to do anything. My blog archives are not in danger. That is beautiful art that you shared with us. Yes, I admire your coping. I'm becoming better at it myself. Thank you Barbara. I wish you all the best. I was in Durango once, but that's another story... Aloha dear

  9. I’ve never posted very many videos so I didn’t get that notice. Years ago, Blogger had a limit on how many pictures you could post, or rather the total size of all the images. But then I was posting my images small to save loading time. Ha! That was a long time ago.

  11. I had that email about videos too. But it didn't say where on my blogs the three they identified were - and I can't find them all. So I guess I'll just have to leave gaps in my archive.
