First let's look at a video by innovative bio-tech, Mike Reynolds - but don't miss the good environmental news at the end of the post!
More about earth ships...the guy who started it all. Michael Reynolds in interview and tour of early Earth Ships - houses with built-in regeneration and bio-energy savings.
Sharing with Tom's Tuesday Treasures.
I've already shared my trip with my youngest son and his wife to a New Mexico site of Earth Ships.
Mike is the originator of many of the ideas, though more have definitely come along with more people showing interest in alternative building methods.

Personal note:
Don't try to mix cold coffee with diet Dr. Pepper.. I thought, well, they're both cold, and full of caffeine. Nope, something made a solid foamy top and it tasted only half as good as either of them.

Yesterday's word for the day - just saying:
nefandous
PRONUNCIATION:
(nuh-FAN-duhs)
MEANING:
adjective: So wicked as to defy description: abominable, appalling.
ETYMOLOGY:
From Latin nefandus (wicked), from ne- (not) + fandus (to be spoken), gerundive (verbal adjective) of fari (to speak). Earliest documented use: 1649.
NOTES:
A synonym of today’s word is nefarious, but it’s from Latin fas (right, divine law) instead of fari (to speak).
I am quit troubled, so it is good to see positive news. Otherwise, I am trying to avoid news as much as I am able.
ReplyDeleteThat word of the day was highly apropos.
The earth ships are cool. I am trying to avoid the news! I love the art, colorful and beautiful. Take care, have a wonderful week!
