On Jan. 29, 2025, the lunar new year will begin what is called the Chinese New Year , the year of the snake. So I sadly say goodbye to the dragons I've been collecting for the last year. I don't collect snake photos, nor make them in clay. I don't like snakes.

So much of living a quality life relates in some way to spending your time so that you are in harmony with the current of energy that underlies your life. The objective is live in such a way that your psychic energy, your physical, intellectual and spiritual energy are enhanced by all that you do. Or almost all. Every path has its setbacks and challenges. You need to be prepared for those, and not get discouraged and give up. Especially early on.

No more art today, as I've already posted what I had of dragons!
That's fun. There is some really appealing images in your collection. The one on the fingers was really fun.
ReplyDeleteSo I made my little dragons during the Year of the Dragon of the lunar Chinese year.
DeleteGreat dragon content here today! I love snakes, but I get that everyone might not. I need to find out what the snake means for the upcoming lunar year.
ReplyDeleteYes, do find out how the lunar year will be affected by the snake...as a creature of myth. And you can keep all the live ones, thank you very much.
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI love all the dragon images. The dragon sleds are cool. The dragon wood carving is amazing. The dragon book puzzle is another favorite. Wonderful photos. Thank you so much for your critter post and sharing your link. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Someone actually made those wood dragon things! What a hoot!
Delete...Barbara, these are fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteI sure have had fun collecting dragons!
Deletesnakes do get a bad rap- and, like spiders, are considered to be scary, creepy and dangerous. I reckon a dragon is just a fancy snake with more talent. Snakes are less temperamental. The images that you have found are splendid!
ReplyDeleteI guess I think of dragons as pre-historic birds. They can at least fly. Oh, you know the temperamentalness of snakes? Or dragons even...a better woman than I!
DeleteI love the colorful glass lamp! WOW! That would look fabulous in my library! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks...oh yes, it would be so beautiful to look at regularly!
DeleteLove these especially the dragon on the fingertips.
ReplyDeleteThat little guy is precious, isn't he?
DeleteI did not know you collected dragons! My sister had an extensive collection. If you want, email me your address and I'll send you one.
ReplyDeleteGreat selection of dragons, Barb! I like them much better than snakes.
ReplyDeleteI like dragons.
