We had lunch at the new (to us) Hillman Brewery.
We were glad to see we could purchase 5 oz. beers. There's a little river running next to the brewery's balcony dining area. We noticed that the sycamore trees were dying with brown leaves, not going to gold like they should with the season.
It's a nice set-up, but about then is when I started having a migraine...so we headed back to Black Mountain. I have visual problems, so it was good my friend was driving. I went home and lay down for a while, then got up feeling fine.
Today's quote:
When I despair, I remember that all through history, the way of truth and love has always won. There have been murderers and tyrants, and for a time they can seem invincible. But in the end they always fall. Think of it, always.
-Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (2 Oct 1869-1948)
That is a good gallery setup..I am envious!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you feel better now
Hello,
ReplyDeleteThe brewery has some nice views. I hope the beer was tasty!
My vision goes whacko when I get migraines too, the bright light is awful. I hope you are feeling better.
Take care, enjoy your weekend!
...it's great to be able to be out and about!
ReplyDeleteI like the Ghandi quote--and hope it's still true.
ReplyDeleteLovely views at the brewery and the Ghandi quote brightened my still-dark morning!
ReplyDeleteApart from the migraine (blame the beer? It'd give me migraine) that looks like a lovely day out.
ReplyDeleteBarbara, Sorry about your problem with migraines. Still, it looks like you had a nice time out and about... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteThat beer looks good. It's the color that I like! I feel sorry for those with migraines. They seem debilitating.
