Who knew all this would happen afterwards! I used to write several blogs, but thought just concentrating on one would be easier for me and my readers. Sorry, it ends up having several topics in each post!

In the pink
Simply an amazing flower, in my humble opinion.
Today's quote:
Practicing humility is important -- while you may have a greater understanding in some areas, others will always be able to teach you something.
Perfect. I read somewhere that we like orchids because their flowers are bi-laterally symmetrical, like a human face. Love the quote: I worked for many years with children with profound learning difficulties, I learned more from them than from any textbook.
Oh that's great to hear about...learning from children, who may or may not have learning difficulties. So wonderful! I think many an orchid does have faces!

Delete...your orchids must bring you great joy!
ReplyDeleteThey surely do, Tom! A colorful array to greet me every morning!
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful flower, lovely color and blooms.
Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead.
Thanks, these are the oldest orchid plants I still have. I think one didn't live very long. I do hope your day and week ahead are also most enjoyable!
DeleteIn my humble opinion too. The jar/pot also looks good. Yours I presume?
ReplyDeleteYes, I'll have to share about it (the jar) sometime...it's got four elements representing four directions on it. I just love the pink flowers!
DeleteThat is truly an amazing orchid!
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty flowers, that just bloom on those long stalks, with strange roots below their broad leaves!
DeleteWe need those blooms in this dreary weather. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYes, as you already have your amaryllis blooming away, you know just the trick!
DeleteThose blooms are fabulous and doing well in the winter. I love the colour too, one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteIt's a room with windows that let in sunshine in the winter...but not in the summer thanks to all the trees outside.
DeleteThey certainly do cheer one up.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed...and I don't have to put a lot of effort out and then I enjoy them so much!
DeleteDelightful little flowers!
