Update about blogCa

Who knew all this would happen afterwards! Flat Creek in November, 2024. Much changed by the force of the hurricane floods in Sept. 2024. The deck of the bridge is now under that pile of debris.

Under the blue skies a landscape architect

A recent trip to the Arboretum gave me a chance to see this lovely sculpture.

These wings looks so interesting when close up also.

Looking across a fountain to the mountains with Olmstead's sculpture.

Olmstead not only designed the Central Park in NY, but the grounds around the Biltmore estate in Asheville.

  2. Dearest Mariette,
I love seeing how Frederick Law Olmstead designed green spaces throughout the land. He also designed the Green Necklace in Boston.

    1. It sure is...and even though the summer sun is out already, we could find shady spots when needed.
