Closer to home

What does Max Factor have to do with Nectarines? This is the bottom of the box holding a dozen Nectarines.

Prepared in my kitchen...

Now tucked into refrig so maybe I can eat them all before they go bad. THey are so YUMMY!

A real feast with granola yogurt and rice milk, blue berries and nectarines. And coffee in a John Bauman mug!

  2. In the early 1980s nectarines became popular in Ireland - they were hardly ever available before - and I was pregnant that summer. I remember eating a whole punnet sitting on the stairs of our food co-op one evening and people remarked that I must call the baby Nectarina. (I didn't.)

    1. I fell in love with them about then. I don't know when I first discovered them. I happen to not like the fuzz on peaches. So these are such a great fruit for me!

  3. Was that a rhetorical question? If it wasn’t, I failed. 😀

    1. A connection between Max Factor and Nectarines? Perhaps there's a Max Factor farming operation!

    1. A great combination. Finding a place to click a photo that becomes stunning is pure luck I've decided! But thank you.

  5. From the look of that third picture they are harvested by very balanced individuals!

    1. Yep, can climb a ladder that's not leaning against a thing, and pick them!

  6. I like that art deco style artwork. One of my kids has framed fruit box labels in their kitchen as art work. Enjoy those juicy nectarines.
