Update about blogCa

Who knew all this would happen afterwards! I used to write several blogs, but thought just concentrating on one would be easier for me and my readers. Sorry, it ends up having several topics in each post!

A tiny conundrum but some eaglets too!

I step out my door and see this beauty...

Yes, those are dandelions!

But what are these little purple volunteers?

I'm pretty sure those reaching vines are from the same plant. And those are all over without these blooms.

And here are some more blossoms near the Community Garden...

Today's quote:

Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them. -James Baldwin, writer (2 Aug 1924-1987)

    1. I was glad to see an adult with them just now (9 am Thurs) since when I checked on them yesterday there were just chicks/eaglets. But it's raining now, so at least 2 are under mom's or dad's body. Stay safe and have a joyful day.

  2. ...eagle cams seem to be the rage these days.

    1. I imagine many birds have nesting going on...but eagles do catch one's eye! Have a great day!

  3. Except for semi-colourful grasses, things are still bare here.

    1. Loved your snow photos today at the library! We had a much bigger room, as well as twice as many people when we had an author talk with us. I guess Black Mountain is bigger than your little town. Plus a history museum was also sponsoring my friend's talk...so more publicity. Hope Heather's various presentations go well for her!

  6. Barbara, Isn't spring wonderful! Love the flowers... We have eagles all around our lakes here as well. FYI, one of our favorite signs of all time was one we saw on a side road down in Georgia. It was outside an antique shop and it read "We sell dead people's stuff'. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  7. I love that quote! I've watched goslings and ducklings imitate their parents and of course, this teaches them how to survive.
