More beauty at Linda's

This Flame Azalea has not been trimmed back, and is much healthier (than those in my apartment parking lot) producing huge blooms

Springtime wreath on Linda's door welcomes guests.

    1. I have some old wreath forms (dry vines of some kind) that I could decorate with silk flowers (and get out the glue gun.) I wonder if I'll get the urge to do that.

  2. Since I just got new orange sneakers, I approve of this flower.

    1. Oooh, orange sneakers might clash with your red plaids!

    1. Linda has her bush in a slightly shady spot, compared to our parking lot ones. That may also help her grow such beautiful blooms.

    1. No, I've never seen those. As soon as I get the back end of my car repaired, I plan to go up on the Blue Ridge Parkway and see what's blooming.

    1. Linda sure has beautiful flowers in her yard. I'll ask her the next time I see her if she fertilizes them. I know she donates her kitchen scraps to the organic compost piles at the community gardens.

  6. I thought those were double day lilies at first. They are huge and lovely.

    1. Our daylilies have come up again...lots of green. But they won't bloom till summertime...maybe in July. The flame azaleas do have similar blooms. And they even seem related to honeysuckle.

  7. That azalea color is truly beautiful. I see why it's called Flame. Love that springtime wreath.

    1. Thanks...me too. I'm thinking Linda may have prompted me to use some old silk flowers to make a spring/summer wreath. We shall see...

  9. Orange and deep purple are my favorite flower colors. I've never seen a flame azalea and want one.

    1. Good, I hope you can grow one wherever you live. I love deep purple petunias, and bought a nice hanging basket of them for my front porch (to be shared on a post later this week!)
