Who knew all this would happen afterwards! My winter garden against the living room windows. I let these little plants be my decorations for the season.

Saturday on Lake Tomahawk

The radio controlled sailboats were out going thru their maneuvers.

And in the other direction from my bench, another group was launching a kind of inflatable canoe shaped boat. Can an inflatable be called a canoe?

The boy in the "canoe" had his rod and reel, so they went all the way across the lake and he fished for a few minutes...then they came back and a young teenish female went for a ride.

While all this was happening, I was merrily eating my Burger King lunch...a Impossible Whopper.  It's a good substitute for meat.

I had such a good time watching all these activities! I thought to myself, I could sure have lunch here every day and have such fun...though most days only kids and parents come to the play ground, and more athletic types walk around the lake.

Today's quote:

Following a cloud with our eye and drifting through the sky with it can be an easy and relaxing meditation.

  1. Hello,
Looks like a fun day to be at the lake, the little boats are cute. It is good to see the families enjoying the great outdoors. Take care, have a great day and new week ahead.

    1. I used to avoid the lake on weekends, knowing lots of our tourists as well as local families might be there too.

  3. Seems like any kind of water craft can be inflatable now. My son in law gave my daughter an inflatable paddle board for her birthday. Musch less expense than a solid one and more portable. She's used it already and it works just fine.
What a nice day at the lake!

    1. Oh my, I've never seen a paddle board, except in photos. I wonder how hard it is to ride (not that I'm interested myself!)

    1. It sure is...and I usually am on my way, rather than sitting still. Having lunch to eat was a good excuse!

    1. Thanks...I try to avoid the Impossible burgers around town, since they still are full of fat. But at least no animals are killed in order to eat it. I'll tell my friend Cathy Babula that I got a comment form Poland, which is where her ancestors came from!

    1. At first I thought it was a kayak, but then a second person sat with a paddle also...so maybe it would be termed a "t-person" kayak.

  9. Gorgeous water views. I'm not a burger fan unless it's a fishwich. Do they still exist?

    1. I know you can get fish sandwiches at Mac'D's...but I always take off the bun, all the sauce, and just eat the patty. Wendy's has a nice cod sandwich sometimes, but only for a few weeks.

  12. One wonders what the fish think of those skimming around above them.

    1. Ha...they practically drained the lake a few months ago, then restocked it with some little fish...I doubt they are big enough to eat yet.
