Update about blogCa

Who knew all this would happen afterwards! My winter garden against the living room windows. I let these little plants be my decorations for the season.

Jan. 2 at Lake Tomahawk

Lots of dads were out with their sons fishing last Saturday at Lake Tomahawk. The water was murky and a bit high after rain the Friday before my walk.

The spillway was full of water, as well as some coming out of the overflow pipe.

I liked this photo of the Dad fishing, but he noticed me, and waved after I took this pic. Hope he catches something.

The Mallards were all taking their afternoon naps.

The path had some puddles left, as well as the usual little ditches from rain draining into the lake.

The pool changing rooms had a wreath on its side, but nobody had used them last summer at all.

If I did the reflections meme, this would be a perfect shot for it.

It was warm enough for some women to engage in tennis.

Today's Quote:

We with our lives are like islands in the sea, or like trees in the forest. The maple and the pine may whisper to each other with their leaves. But the trees also commingle their roots in the darkness underground, and the islands also hang together through the ocean’s bottom. Just so there is a continuum of cosmic consciousness, against which our individuality builds but accidental fences, and into which our several minds plunge as into a mother-sea or reservoir.

  3. Beautiful blue sky and photos. Although I don't like fishing, it's great that the dads and kids were out there in the fresh air together.

  6. It's a lovely peaceful scene and I am sure that it is a balm for many COVID-weary people.
