Update about blogCa

Who knew all this would happen afterwards! Flat Creek in November, 2024. Much changed by the force of the hurricane floods in Sept. 2024. The deck of the bridge is now under that pile of debris.

Gardens by the river produce lots of produce

There's lots of land which isn't planted in gardens...

I love how the mountains capture clouds, or make them in the valleys.

This field is where the Frisbee golf course goes along.

Some gardeners are putting in winter crops.

A Swannanoa River view from my greenway walk.

    1. Yes, it's a community garden, where people pay for a certain area where they can plant to their heart's content. I walked there at the very end of summer (late September.)

  2. Produce produce: we all know how to say it, but isn't English strange?

    1. Indeed it is. I always love seeing how words spelled the same, but with different meanings, just trip off our tongues.

    2. English has assimilated words from so many other languages...find the source and that leads to the pronunciation, and spelling. I wish people would be more careful about the spelling.. but they probably have never thought about language and history. I think , as a side observation, that it is comical how some rail about Americanisms...when they are actually words that came from England, and accents...like Boston!

  5. That is a wonderful idea and such a great (and picturesque) use of the land.
