A cold day at Lake Tomahawk...and so I look at details of the tree that stands by the lake. Such gnarled roots it has!

Hello,
ReplyDeleteThat is a great list, it is nice to know that positive and good things are happening.
Love the tree hugging quote and the mill pond photo.
Take care, have a great day and a happy new week.
Thanks for stopping over here Eiileen. I clicked on some of the "good things" to learn more, and one area gave me even more questions. Rank voting.
Delete...it's refreshiing to see that some are taking noble stands in these messed up days.
ReplyDeleteThese people are trying to publicize what can be done anywhere. We sure could use some good publicity these days! Not on the major news channels I'm afraid.
DeleteThanks for the good news summary. Sometimes it's hard to pick out the good news among all of the negative.
ReplyDeleteThat's true in so many areas these days. Not just politics...the environmental concerns too.
DeleteI follow ACC, and thank you for boosting their signal. It's heartening to get good news in the storm of bad news!
ReplyDeleteWhen I tried reading more about rank voting, I found some place where the tabulation considered people's first choices that might be completely off the winning tally, say 5 people listed, and they wanted the 6th, then their second choice would be bumped up...if I read that right.
DeleteGreat to know people stand up against the nonsense like this! Thank you for restoring faith in America a bit!
ReplyDeleteAmericans are mostly alright people. Politicians, not so much. Rich people who also are politicians...definitely full of it.
DeleteMeanwhile, the tariff war hath begun. There will be no winrrers.
ReplyDeleteOh my dear Canadian friends...there will now be black market oranges slipping across your borders!
DeleteThank you for this positive list. An organization in my small town is gathering like minded residents to provide a safety net and list of resources for those in danger.
ReplyDeleteThat is also very good news. Small groups of people working together show so much of our resourcefulness these days, and that we are loving justice proving peoples.
DeleteWhat a beautiful picture by Maxfield Parrish! One thing that I take heart from is that so many groups were ready for the first days of the new guy’s second term. They were already “lawyered up.”
ReplyDeleteThat's true. The lawyers are really busy these days. I just hope enough courts aren't in the orange one's pocket. May our constitution prevail.
DeleteGood to know that people are fighting back against the orange stain. Love the Mill Pond, it's absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I do love his incredible use of light.
DeleteI so appreciate the good news these frightening days
ReplyDeleteThanks. Every touch of goodness shared is being multiplied, I think.
