Looking towards Asheville from my dentist's parking lot. Looks like rain might be coming.
I drove home seeing more of the same clouds. I-40 has some patches next to bridges. On secondary roads, the bridge/road connections are worse sometimes. I hope our infrastructure will continue road work when various items are cut from budgets federal or state!
On Monday I saw these guys in the library parking lot in Black Mountain...probably waiting for the rest of the crew to go do some heavy work that still needs to be done in so many places following our disaster.
The YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly shared these shots from the hurricane waters hitting their grounds pretty powerfully.
My renter's insurance just updated my policy, telling me it doesn't cover floods. I can buy flood insurance separately. Boy, they probably had a lot of claims to pay from the disaster!
May the earth heal.

What did I do yesterday when it poured or sprinkled cold rain all day? I invited a friend to come work on dusting/cleaning my pottery and shelves. She did an excellent job, and now I want to go around and rearrange things! So there's a bit of spring happening inside this apartment. I shared some of my bounty that I got from the food bank distributors, Bounty and Soul. I also gave her some money, for I wanted to respect her time as she gave efforts to me. I wore a mask to avoid inhaling the dust, and most of the time that worked...but I got tired of it after a few hours. I'm tired now anyway, and I bet she is too.

...the construction trades will not run out of work in your area for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI hope the earth can heal. I can only imagine all the loss from the new budget cuts.
ReplyDeleteInsurance just seems to keep going up, just like everything else.
Take care, have a wonderful day!
