I'm posting at another time today my thoughts and articles quoted having to do with living in the US under the Musk/Trump regime, so you may find them later today.
Some tame river rocks. Alongside many of the flooded rivers/streams around my area in the Appalachian Mountains are huge swaths of river rocks thrown up quite a way from the current flowing water.
Speaking of disasters: Jan. 9, 2025 Pacific Palisades after fires. As February is coming to a close, I think of all these people who evacuated only to have lost everything they owned in their homes. Much compassion sent via ether/internet waves!

Today's quote:
“The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference. The opposite of beauty is not ugliness, it’s indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it’s indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, but indifference between life and death.” Elie Wiesel

Interesting photos and patterns. I like the sky and water image. Finding spirit in the pattern of nature is a favorite. Take care, have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen...so glad you enjoyed some of these photos. I think spirit in the pattern of nature is of some redwoods, so obviously not my photo. It's really nice to think about, and to look up in the trees.
Delete...I love Escher!
ReplyDeleteAs do I! There was a show in Ottawa of his work. It was amazing. I took my kids.
DeleteTom - me too. I drove with a friend to see a museum exhibit in Columbia SC a few years ago. And posted all the photos I took on the art blog! Jenn, so glad you introduced your kids to his work, I'm pretty sure all three of my boys like him as well!
DeleteYour arm: the things that happen to our bodies.
ReplyDeleteJust dehydrated. Some days the pattern isn't quite so extreme. I do have something akin to tree bark however!
DeleteI did a post long ago of close ups of patterns and textures and asked my readers if they could identify them.
ReplyDeleteWonderful patterns! I always look for them in the kitchen,
ReplyDeleteI hope you’re finding ways to stay hydrated. I drink a lot of water, but it isn’t doing the trick because it doesn’t have enough minerals, so now I’m taking an electrolyte supplement.
