Peonies that come and go

Almost open. The last one disappeared, I do hope these will be allowed to be shared by all!

She tore off another bloom!

But we have some others to enjoy! However this also disappeared when I wasn't looking.

Wait, what are all these red beauties doing? More on roses tomorrow.

Today's quote:

That is what learning is. You suddenly understand something you've understood all your life, but in a new way.

  2. Hello,
The peonies and the roses are gorgeous. Is the deer eating the peonies? Take care, have a great weekend.

  3. Sorry about the missing peonies. I find them problematic at the best of times because they tend to bloom and flop. They’re pretty in the process, however.

    1. I even had staked up one of the blooms, which was torn off by a neighbor, so I took the stake home.

  4. I visited a whole field of peonies a couple of days back - they may make an appearance on my blog some time soon.

    1. I've named the anonymous neighbor the Peony Thief. But I'm pretty sure who it is.

    1. Prretty sure it's a woman in an electric wheel chair, she drove by and said "I just love Peonies," before they had opened.

  9. That peony is beautiful! I only have one and no camera catches just the right shade. I have about quit trying.

As to my iris...go to my other blog here: http://picsandpiecing.blogspot.com/2009/05/irises.html
It is the first. Shows how dark it used to be. And seeing it from just maybe half a block away, they still look dark. I am too lazy to go look for photos of the them.

  10. I have no idea why that first line is spaced like that in the previous comment. I did not do that!

    1. Ha ha...it's a justification where you somehow chose to have the line justified for both sides.
