Update about blogCa

Who knew all this would happen afterwards! Flat Creek in November, 2024. Much changed by the force of the hurricane floods in Sept. 2024. The deck of the bridge is now under that pile of debris.

Update on the indoor blooms

These last blossoms have certainly been long-lived. I'm pleased to have their color when looking at the still grey and brown outside the window. But I'm aware those maples are thinking of  making leaves, and soon I won't see the mountains beyond for another 5-6 months.

  9. My mother propagated the African violets that you show in your first three pictures. It was a serious hobby in her bored housewife years. I loved touching the furry leaves.
They were called Usambara violets when I was young.
