Update about blogCa

I-40 picked up the old Rte. 66 somewhere along the way, maybe Little Rock, maybe Oklahoma City. But it is the 100th anniversary of Rte 66 so I enjoyed thinking about my parents driving on part Of it in. St. Louis at least. Here we continued from Santa Rosita to Gallup NM, then left both highways to go north to CO.

A gardenia without a brain

It was very late blooming this spring...

And now that it's getting cool again!

I gladly picked the first bloom and have loved smelling it on my bedside table.  I find taking several deep breaths clears my sinuses or whatever enough I can enjoy the scent.

  1. ...something that is too tender to grow here, plus it's a bit too fragrant for me.

    1. I have brought this potted bush inside each winter for about 10 years that I've owned it! Sometimes it loses all its leaves in winter, sometimes it just sits there...but I also usually give it a haircut before bringing it inside, so it's not quite so big.

  2. They do smell lovely! I had one for years... I think I gave it to my sister when I moved.

Thanks for commenting! I tried moderating, thinking that would be a quicker way to check on comments, but actually it takes more time. So go ahead and talk amongst yourselves, and I'll check in when I can!!
