That means not just those who think like us.  We are connected in thought, as well as chemically, through being part of the living beings on the face of this blue ball.  Those who think differenty from ourselves, those who are the criminals, those who are victims, those who we love and those who we hate...yep, all connected in one big melting pot of humanity.  And then all other living beings...animals, plants, microbes, bacteria.  Connections galore.

I love Carl Sagan's thought of how the chemical makeup of each of us is that of star dust.
