More flowers

A grocery store packet of 6 colorful roses...

I like that they come as buds...sitting on my bedside table...

And within a few hours they start to spread their petals...

And in 24 hours they become full roses...and didn't stop there!

I love the colors of these. But was hoping the centers would be yellow. I'll keep looking for that combo.

Today's quote:

It takes a person of great heart to see…the wisdom the elders have to offer, and so serve them out of gratitude for the life they have passed on to us.

    1. Thanks Eileen, I enjoyed your post this morning, and wondered about the first quote you gave...something about how photos offer a return ticket to moments past. I liked it.

    1. Thanks. One of these days I'll use the real camera rather than the phone!

    1. They are interestingly enough drying out, but not shedding petals yet. Strange progression.

  5. Beautiful roses. You inspire me to go out and photograph the roses in the front yard.

  6. You are very lucky. I often I find those roses to droop their heads and not open. They are a remarkable color.

    1. I liked these...from Aldi's. There seem to be a display of flowers for sale at every entrance these days. But I finally found some that were inexpensive as well as lasted well. Will try other rose buds again sometime.

  7. Beautiful roses, Barbara, and so full! I like their color orange which makes me think of autumn. He had a strong thunderstorm with hail last week and most of my knock out roses lost their blooms.

    1. Sorry to hear your roses were damaged by the storm. Mine just come from a grocery store, and who knows where they are grown...
