I have immense respect for the force of water. It just keeps on flowing, going to the lowest point in front of it...always going going going. Until there's just a level place, where it slows and barely moves. One of my all-time favorite photos of Lake Tomahawk. The snowcapped mountain looks much closer, probably because of the light of the snow.
The Swannanoa River...I'm thrilled by the force of this water coming out of the mountains, in a North Fork and a South Fork, which join and then flow to the French Broad River in Asheville. The whole valley is named for the Swannanoa.
This amazing photo of a ferry crossing probably the French Broad River. But I'm not sure. An interesting ferry.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteThe Hooker Falls is pretty and I love the view of the snowcapped mountains. Beautiful series of photos. Take care, enjoy your day!
Not going out taking photos much means using some old ones. Thanks. Have a good day yourself!
DeleteNeat old photo. I guess the horses didn't mind the ferry.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that they were looking so calm...somehow I would think the way a boat moves under your feet would bother them.
Delete...a lot of beauty in your neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteThanks...and on days like this I should be out there taking more photos!
DeleteWonderful pictures! Something pleasant as we wait for election results!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Old photos are coming out. Need to go take some new ones. We shall see what happens, eventually. And look back with a sign as we consider how we waited it out.
DeleteWater is incredibly powerful! That is quite a ferry indeed!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos and a beautiful header. I love the old black and white image, it's nice to see what it looked like back in time.
