A fictional TV series, The West Wing never really happened. |
By Susan Seddon Boulet - a reminder of my learning more about paganism in the class I took in April.
A bang of a surprise, going to the hospital 3 nights for pneumonia! And then needing more antibiotics because a sputum culture showed that I was carrying around a bacteria known as stenotrophomonas. Just trying to say it is enough to need medication!
April will be remembered by me for my recovery and my trip out west.
How has April been to you in your life?
Today's quote:
Your retina is physically bombarded by photons, giving rise to the mechanics of sight. Coded chemical information begins to course through the optic nerves leading from the eye to the brain. These data have no color in them, however, because photons are colorless, and so are optic signals. Color is known in consciousness alone.
That is how the quality of knowingness is embedded in existence.
You could not be here without knowingness, which applies not just to color but to all five senses.

Adding a bit of my pottery to share with you all!

It is wonderful to see all the peaceful demonstrations! I hope you are feeling better, the medicine is helping. Take care, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteSoon we'll be in May, then June and hot summertime. I'm enjoying this mild spring weather. Not sure about the medicine yet...but looking forward to people posting about another peaceful demonstration soon.
Delete...RESIST!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know more about how resistance looks where you are.
DeleteBig rally tomorrow. I must make a new sign. Never heard of that bacteria and glad you are on the mend.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you can take part in the movement. I would love to know what your sign will say! I feel better having it identified, now just want to shake it off, the bacteria.
DeleteThank you for showing the demonstrations. It's all samizdat at this point, the msm having sold out.
ReplyDeleteI love your pottery. Please keep showing us.
Never heard the term samizdat before, but yes, the various news programs have been curtailed. I watched CBS 60minutes which has been a source of good news stories, and the last minute mentioned how the managing editor just quit, and why. Sure, I'll post a pot a day here...most aren't even in my possession any more.
DeleteAside from mostly crap weather, April has brought us crocuses and good government, and just lately a few days in which the temperature reached the 70s.
ReplyDeleteIt does sound like things are on an upswing in your neck of the woods. That's good to know!
DeleteMy gosh what a full month. Glad you got your health in order and were able to enjoy your wonderful trip!!!
ReplyDeleteThis Thursday is my fourth demonstration since April 1. All have been positive, peaceful, full of fellowship and lots of support from passersby. I hope we can make a change! I do wish it wouldn't rain every time we schedule, LOL. Showers are at 78% forecast for this Thursday.
THanks for your observations. I hope you blog about your demonstrations. Of course I also hope you don't get drenched from rain.
DeleteMy LORD you are a trooper! Such a strong woman- all smart and stuff and your pottery is delicious! Wonder woman- be well soon, sooner, You have so much to do in this allotted time- valuable contributions to make! Pottery to delight us all- I am so enthralled - your art is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteLittle wonder that it was difficult for you to walk more than the length of the car park!
Thanks for your encouragement of my slightly weird interests...of course many of us have become interested in politics mainly to save our constitutional democratic way of government - increasingly working against the MAGAs at tRump.
DeleteI love the shape of that small vase
ReplyDeleteTHanks. I had a few pots that I altered that way. I'll look and see if there are any more photos of them.
DeleteGood to read that you are feeling better, Barbara, as you are definitely a woman with many things to do. The visit with your son looks like it was a lovely time shared. Thank you for the comment on my post about Medieval Manhattan, much appreciated and glad you enjoyed it.
