Today's other quote:
If we don’t have certain outer experiences, we don’t have certain inner experiences or at least we don’t have them in such a profound way. We need the sun, the moon, the stars, the rivers and the mountains and the trees, the flowers, the birds, the song of the birds, the fish in the sea. All of this evokes something in our inner world, evokes a world of mystery. It evokes a world of Sacred and gives us that sense of awe and mystery.

The Atlantic gets 1.5 inches wider each year, so it's now seven whole feet wider than it was in 1968. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteYou have remarkable knowledge, John!
Delete...soon the witches will be flying.
ReplyDeleteTrue enough, there. Whoooohoooo!
DeleteThe flying witch is cute! I like to see all people happy! Love the last quote, so much to experience.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day!
Your first photo made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteWell intended to do just that!
DeleteI love the rendering of the ocean floor!
ReplyDeleteSome difficult and involved map making were used with all that we knew at that time!
DeleteTo think that ocean floor image was created in 1968 is mind-blowing. It's simply terrific.
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed also!
DeleteHi Barbara, Love that witch! Very imaginative on the part of the homeowner... The Atlantic's 'floor' is quite mind-boggling. We still have so much to learn about the earth, especially the watery portion of it... The bit about the sailing vessels and how they work was very interesting. Hope all is well. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteA bit of humor to start the day, and then some scientific sharing with engineering to wrap it all up!
