Before voting, people have to be on the ballots, and here are some who are wanting to run for Congress, and will support gun control laws...from the Gifford PAC.
Whether or not you want to contribute in this way, keep an eye on these people, find ways to encourage their campaigns in whatever way you can, and of course, if you happen to live in their states, you know what to do!

...this will be an important election on many fronts.
ReplyDeleteWe have to support those that will represent us...wherever they live.
DeleteHi Barbara, Here in Tennessee, the odds of enacting any meaningful gun controls is close to zero. Sad but true. Not much will happen in the next 4 years...much like the last 8 years! I predict that Trump will be re-elected despite his legal issues and other baggage, but that the Democrats will control one or both houses of Congress...hence a continuing legislative stalemate. Just my opinion. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteI can only say, I hope you're wrong. It will be interesting to see what happens in Iowa this Tues. You are probably right that Trump will be the Republican candidate. I just think he's past his appeal to the rest of the country.
DeleteOn gun control for the whole country, I do look to the Congress to come up with something. Apparently Illinois and 4 or 5 other states outlawed automatic weapon purchase and possession last year. Maybe there are enough states that feel how important this is.
DeleteHi Barbara, Regarding the states that have passed laws outlawing automatic weapons purchase... You can count on appeals to overturn those laws that will get all the way to the conservative Supreme Court. All bets are off as to what they will do or how they will rule...but I'm not hopeful. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
