Women's History Month

As long as I can type on a keyboard and figure out the instructions to send blogs out, I'm going to post something about a different woman each day in March. 31 women I have either learned about just recently and respect, or women who I think very highly of already.

I say the warning about my typing, because it's become harder to get the right keys sometimes. Just saying.

Enjoy these powerful women!

  1. Sounds like a great plan, there are many powerful woman both past and present times. Michelle Obama is one of my favorites. Take care, enjoy your day!

    1. I had not thought of her for my list...which is full already. Perhaps next year, because she's certainly a great role model for women!

    1. And since you're Tom, I'm guessing you're talking about typing rather than being in the group of Women!

  3. During the 1970s a friend of mine was an editor of educational books and had the task of deciding which women to include in a book about great lives. In those days it was really difficult to get past a handful of obvious choices. I remember suggesting Julia Margaret Cameron, who was a pioneering photographer. I'll be interested to see who you include.

    1. Glad you suggested someone who I'd never heard of. But then I've not really studied great photographers...just love Ansel Adams, Stieglitz, and a few others who hit my Art History studies.

    1. At least your posts are coming through (since I am open to anonymous comments!) while some folks who regularly comment have been given the questionable status where I have to declare they are not spam!

    1. But be grateful I'm not trying to write. Yay for having legible letters from a keyboard, though I have to slow down a bit.

  6. Barbara, You're embarking on a thoughtful and useful project...a labor of respect for sure. I'll learn quite a bit from your efforts I suspect. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
