Watching the world go by

Sitting in the window of the Dripolator. Sipping coffee. Life is good. We're vaccinated and boosted. We wear masks when other people are near, and we space 6 feet apart just naturally these days.

And Saturday I got my hair cut, finally. Actually hope I can walk around without having to wear a hat. We'll see how it weathers sleeping on it! Usually that leaves me a bit lopsided.

  1. Great that you are getting out and bit and, presumably, feeling a bit better.
A friend always described her hair upon waking as having strange animals forms.

    1. Oh that's a great description of "bed hair." Yes, I'm able to do a few more things every day.

  2. When you act safely, you should be safe.
And you can call me Captain Obvious.

    1. Thanks CO...a new moniker is ok with me! There's only so much safe acting that can be accomplished.

  3. I'm glad you got out and had coffee with friends. Vaccinated, boosted, and safe. That's the best. That and a haircut!

    1. Thanks...and after a shower to get all the little itchy bits off my skin, now I'm really happy!

  4. I really like your header photo. Forgot to mention that when you first put it up. Know what you mean about bed hair.

    1. I like it also, and think that the smoke around the bend may have just been residual clouds...or maybe someone is trying out their wood stove for the first time. Who knows!!

  5. Glad to hear you're starting to get out and about again. It's strange how we've all adapted to this new way of living over the last year.

    1. A friend called that she missed me coming to church. I said I just wasn't ready to be inside with others yet. In church you are kind of stuck where you sit, and my cough means I sometimes need to leave so I don't bother others, as well as making sure to stay a distance from others. Nope not yet.

  6. Glad to hear you had your booster vaccine, Barbara. I had mine in September as my doctor told me I was immunocompromised and could get it early. I need a haircut but it will have to wait until the new year -- such a busy time right now.

    Have a very Merry Christmas!

    1. There is no hurry to get haircuts...and I said to my hairdresser, just do whatever you'd like! He kind of laughed at my thin but long mop. It does have a big improvement now.

  7. Glad to hear you're mobile again. Being and feeling safe is a great way to be these days. My wife and I get our boosters tomorrow and then we'll be up to date. Be well and enjoy your day.

    1. Having the booster wasn't quite as liberating as getting my second shot. I remember when the numbers went down and everyone went back to church in June...with or without wearing masks. The second Sunday was the only time I've been in church (and I wore my mask) this year.

    1. That day they were really busy. I'm glad there were fewer folks there last week. I don't go in when they're crowded these days. It was nice to meet you after having read your books, Vicki!

    1. Thanks...it's fun to see things that are enjoyable to click the shutter (metaphorically.)
