When I go to PT, I park right next to the office of Bounty and Soul.
They have great big green trucks with food painted on the sides...which go all over the community sharing food from the larger pantry "Manna Food Bank."
Before COVID, they would come to my apartment complex (senior citizens) and give away free produce weekly. It was a highlight of our week often, and a chance to meet our neighbors. We had to stop when meeting indoors was no longer safe, (COVID). They started giving out meals and produce in different settings, keeping up the work of feeding those in need. I think most of these silly vegetable people are volunteers.
Hello,

ReplyDeleteI love those silly vegetable people volunteers! What a lovely way to help feed those in need.
ReplyDeleteWhat an idea! We have a good community food bank, but they don't do that.
ReplyDeleteA good endeavor.
ReplyDeleteA good service, just a pitt that it is needed.
ReplyDeleteHowever it does help some and also brings others together. A double plus!!
What a nice thing those silly folks are doing!
ReplyDeleteIt never occurred to me to dress up as a vegetable.
