Promises of blooms

I've since removed the Impatients which were spitting stuff ALL OVER the place. They are welcome to freeze outside, which is appropriate. I thought they could behave, but no!

How do all three orchid plants know it's time to send out these blossom stems? Yes the sun told them.

  1. What sort of behaviour can you expect from plants with a name like Impatiens? Orchids, on the other hand, will proceed with serene calm and flower in their own good time.

    1. You said it! I prefer plants that are happy with attention once a week, when I remember them.

  3. I love seeing your orchids sending out buds like that. My frail old orchid persists, but has bloomed only once in the past decade. Still I care for it with hopes that it will one day look like your very healthy orchids.

    1. Vicki Lane shared her post of some orchids in her windows, and that started me on buying one or two at the grocery store. I repotted 2 of them, and one is sorely in need. Soon...maybe in the spring!

  5. I would end up killing them. I'm hopeless with plants.

    1. Both of my friends who visited me said the same thing today. But I know it's not true, they just choose to focus on other more fun things!
