Enjoying the season's simple pleasures

I may be sharing a bit more of cheer these days than usual. Well that's part of a seasonal thing leading up to the big holidays at the end of the month.

But also I'm feeling more healthy than I have in months. This antibiotic apparently, with other environmental changes has given me more breath than whenever!

Friday was difficult to park and then walk up and down State St. shopping. That's because it was time for Black Mountain to have a big celebration later in the day, thus closing off several streets with parking. And it was hovering around freezing with a steady north wind, but I did my blocks-long walk both ways, and had a treat at my favorite coffee house.

The Dripolator at night, which I seldom see! Black Mountain NC

The view of the alley between the Swannanoa Museum and the Dripolator

The people come and go and enjoy friends and beverages!

My favorite go-to afternoon decaf-Americano with lots of cream and sugar. A desert in a cup!

It’s in that convergence of spiritual people becoming active and active people becoming spiritual that the hope of humanity now rests.

    1. So glad you liked the art...and I have many hours of visiting the Dripolator during the day, but I'm glad someone took that night time photo.

  4. BTW, Dripolator was the name of a great coffee pot from the 30s-40s. Good choice for their shop! I wonder if they have some of those on display?
