The Animas River flows under the Durango-Silverton narrow gauge railroad bridge in Durango's Rotary Park. Part of the Animas River Trail - walking and biking, dog walking and jogging! And benches for resting and reflecting!

Picnic spot survived the flood waters

 











I met friends here for picnic lunches a couple of summers ago. Now I can't locate those posts! Mmm, strange. It was good to be in the shade, I do remember, so must have been in the height of summer. Sitting by the little creek was lovely also.

And I know I took some photos.

    1. It was far enough upstream, or maybe sheltered from falling trees due to being in a close valley...but looks to have had little damage from the storms.
