I sip my first coffee and look to see any glimpse of the mountain ridge through the leaves. No such luck. But what is that!
The trees outside my windows, Black Mountain, NC, Sept. 1, 2025Suddenly the first maple leaves have changed to their beautiful red.
My purple orchid is striving to produce blooms...but cooler weather is slowing the efforts down.
However I have three beautiful variegated blooms still to enjoy!

I can spot several trees that are changing. The others are just losing yellow leaves from the drought. I like the changes!
ReplyDelete...time stands still for no one!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteWe are seeing bits of colors here too! Take care, enjoy your day!
As Sam Cooke said- A Change is Gonna Come.
ReplyDeleteI wish for that in more ways than I can say.
It's still summer! No signs of fall here............yet!
ReplyDeleteWe have sunny weather, but leaves started falling in August. No color change yet.
ReplyDeleteWe're seeing some tingeing, but I am afraid is more from drought than autumn. This isn't good.
ReplyDeleteYou have one of the world's prettiest views!!!
ReplyDeleteLucky you getting orchids to bloom. We are seeing some leaves change colors here too.
ReplyDeleteLeaves here are turning brown but it's too early really - it's the drought here.
ReplyDeleteI have seen some small color changes here in NH, but not as many. Also becvause of the lack of rainfall, colors may not be as spectacular as in some years which may deter some of the leaf peppers from New England, but most likely not.
ReplyDeleteLeaves are changing slowly and blowing off the trees. It's raining right now. :(
ReplyDeleteDelicious weather just now!
ReplyDeleteLeaves are definitely changing here already, but mostly, I think, because of the dry weather.
