Balance time

The first day of fall 2025 arrives with the fall equinox on Monday, September 22, 2025, 2:19 p.m.

I'm assuming  the time is Eastern Daylight Savings Time. And that gives me time to post something this morning before the event actually occurs!

This is a great time of the year to take a moment to reflect on balance in your life:

  • between work and leisure

  • between doing and resting

  • between the slow needs of the body and these fast and demanding times

  • between different phases of your life

  • between birth and death

  • between any aspects of your life that feel in opposition

  5. One balance I'm learning is not to stress when I get the equinox a day ahead! I found it on a site which assured me it was yesterday! Out of step again. No, it's everyone else!

    1. Calendars just usually have the same date each year, which confuses everyone. I just changed my water filter for one that lasts 6 months, and that's going to be another equinox, easy to remember!

  6. The older I get, the more I agree with Ms. Bronte.

  7. Wishing you peace and balance at this autumn equinox. I just adore those red trees. You have so many more of them over there than we do here. It's one of the few things I envy you Americans for!

    1. Thanks for your good wishes. You all are having color changes earlier than ours, though maybe this is a bit of a dry fall this year.

  8. Hi Barbara, Some very nice fall photos combined with a bit of philosophy... It's been pretty warm for this time of the year. My better half is in cooler climes...with her sisters driving around Scotland. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
