Update about blogCa

Who knew all this would happen afterwards! I used to write several blogs, but thought just concentrating on one would be easier for me and my readers. Sorry, it ends up having several topics in each post!

A basket-full of ?

Sharing with Sepia Saturday and Eileen's Saturday's Critters

Sepia Saturday starts with a basket-full of puppies.

How about a box-full of cats?

Or

Some bewildered kittens who may have knocked out their mum.

Today's quote:

Even a wounded world is feeding us. Even a wounded world holds us, giving us moments of wonder and joy. I choose joy over despair. Not because I have my head in the sand, but because joy is what the earth gives me daily and I must return the gift.

    1. I agree, being able to see his FB posts (lots of beagles!) as well as your blogs on FB as well. I'm doubly blessed I guess. Yes many tiny houses have begun to be built in the Asheville area (before the storm) for the un-housed.

  5. These made me smile, Barb! I often wonder how couples managed to conceive more children in such cramped quarters like that little house!
Hoping things are beginning to look up in Black Mountain. I am so sad that we did not take that planned road trip last summer, to see it before the flood. Who would ever have thought such a thing could happen.

    1. Good to choose joy! It sometimes must be a push to find it hiding in the cracks of a darkness.

  14. A great collection of things filled with things. My fav' are the umbrella-covered baskets of cats. Hopefully they're not toooo far off the ground? :) (the kitten with the fawns is a close runner-up)

  15. This was exactly what we need right now. A box of cats, or puppies, or even chickens always brings hope and joy. And thanks for the quote. I think one of the author's books will make a great Christmas gift for my wife this year.
