So the search continues to answer this question:
How did the Micajah Rogers children from Sevierville TN meet the Hiram Gibbs children from Union SC? Then marry and move off to parts of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisana, Missouri, Kentucky and Texas?  I'll search more back and back into whatever scraps of valid information might exist.  Micajah and Hiram were both listed on census records as merchants.  Perhaps they dealt with each other that way.  There was also a Thomas Rogers living in Union District, SC on an early census.  Any relation?  See another post soon of Virginians moving to TN.
