My family is getting used to my being a recorder of events with photos and blogs.
It was so cold everyone agreed on the second tree they considered. I didn't vote, and nobody asked my opinion!
Sharing with Wordless Wednesday (almost!)
Yes, you read that right, reduced to $799.99! Photo is free!
More on tree trimming later...
...Barbara, when we were kids, multicolor lights where all that were available.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed! And at least we had pretty lights. Our grandparents probably had candles!
DeleteBeautiful photos of the trees and decorations and your lovely family. Take care, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen! I had fun taking photos of the pretty things...not tempted at all, except I'd like a Christmas cactus. So that's about all that's on my wish list. A very little one.
DeleteAll of your pictures is inspiring me to put up our Christmas decorations. :)
ReplyDeleteOh super...can't wait for you to share them on your blog too!
DeleteThat is an impressive Christmas store. Sue trends to be the recorder for our fam but I do like to chip in my fair share. 😀
ReplyDeleteIt sure is impressive. There were sample size free coffees, but the gals that tried them said they were "awful." Glad I skipped that.
DeleteGorgeous photos!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was great to window-shop - after all the expense of the tree - not buying anything together but looking and smiling!
DeleteWhen I was young tree lots would spring up unconnected to any kind of store or plant nursery. My father and us kids would go to pick out the tree making the poor attendant unwrap and shake out tree after tree before we picked.
ReplyDeleteIn the past there have been boy scouts and church empty lots with trees. This outfit sure does it up big!
DeleteWe used to get a tree from a local farm where they grew. And Mr Simonson the owner, would throw in a free sack of seed potatoes -- that was his other farm. Trees were a dollar a foot. Yes, this is a while back.
ReplyDeleteI started having live trees maybe 30 years ago… even a ficus would do.
DeleteJust walking into that place puts you in the holiday spirit. Thanks for taking me along.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn’t have gone there on my own. I don’t think I’ve ever gone to a Christmas store.
DeleteLordy! I would have been overwhelmed by all that Christmas stuff!
ReplyDeleteI certainly was overwhelmed…but the girls had been there before, and wanted to show me lots of stuff, plus I got lost once or twice!
DeleteThe multi coloured lights were nice to see. Had them on our trees way back then. Super photos, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOnly artificial trees allowed in my building, but it's a moot point for me, as I don't mark the occasion.
