Arches National Park - Ahleimer's photos - part 2

Continuing to share Curt Ahleimer's photos....though back when I arranged this I actually posted it last month in error.

Sharing with blogspot Wordless Wednesday on Tuesday http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2025/09/the-buffalo-bill-dam-just-outside-of.html

In the southwestern part of the USA, there are miles and miles of things off in the distance, which you finally come to. These sites sometimes are much closer together, and it's amazing to turn your head and see more.

Thanks for the supportive messages yesterday! I enjoyed an evening read! Partially because the hospital didn’t serve me dinner and the nurses defrosted one for me late, and the tv channels were abysmal!

    1. Isn’t this why we have albums of our old pictures to share when we’re stuck in a bed somewhere?

  3. Ever been to Arches maybe someday. Are you still at the hospital or did they send you home?

    1. I hope you get to though it’s kind of out-of-the-way, a lot like the Grand Canyon. There are reservations made ahead of time. I am at the hospital still.

  5. Those southwestern landscapes are so alien to me that they could have been taken on Mars. They are beautiful but I will admit they make me uncomfortable.
    Keep getting better!

    1. You’re right and that I wouldn’t want to live in the middle of that desert, but it is amazing to visit. I was thinking of moving to that area simply because the air is dry and better for my lungs. We shall see

    1. Thank you I am feeling a little better since they’ve pumped me full of drugs. But of course they all have side effects to deal with, so the doctors are discussing changing them with my pulmonologist being involved. It’s a waiting game at this point, but I’m glad to have had some good fast results from the tests, Which a hospital can do

  7. I'm glad the doctors are on this case! And glad the nurses are doing their best! Now we need to get the kitchen on board. I hope you are able to come home soon with a good plan.

    1. It certainly is Stunning! I doubt I’ll be discharged today because there’s still one more test to run. There are moments when I wonder if I’m just a chest case they’re trying all kinds of things out on, and then I feel very grateful that I’m having such good medical treatment.

  12. Hi Barbara
We see lots of red rocks where I lived but I do hope to visit Arches NP someday in the future to see these amazing strictures! I hope you are healing well and will be discharged form the hospital soon. I came home form a cruise with the worst sinus infection in my life and then developed a corneal ulcer which kept me sidelined for a month. Not fun ;(
