I have gone early in springtime to a park, Pearson's Falls (near North Carolina/South Carolina border,) where wildflowers are early and abundant. I finally found some of those photos from 2015! I also have a great book about wildflowers, but couldn't find it on my last trip to the park. Fortunately my friend Helen knew more than I did! She wrote down the flowers she saw and the date of the trip!
We went to Pearson Falls again in 2022, probably wearing masks whenever we were around people. Here are two blogs I wrote about that trip: Pearson Falls One, and Pearson Falls Two.

Two views of two planters. I recently gave one which had been used, to a neighbor who loves plants. Since my plants had white fly fungus several years ago, I made sure she knew that since it was used, it needed to be sterilized before she planted anything in it.
...bloodroot is a loverly plant whose's flower lasts should a short time.

DeletePretty wildflowers. Here trilliums grow in gardens rather than wild, I think.

DeleteHmmm. I didn't see a white trillium in your photos, but did see toothwort and toadshade. I am not sure of the one under the rock overhang, maybe saxifrage? Love these photos!
