Flowers past and present

I have gone early in springtime to a park, Pearson's Falls (near North Carolina/South Carolina border,) where wildflowers are early and abundant. I finally found some of those photos from 2015!  I also have a great book about wildflowers, but couldn't find it on my last trip to the park. Fortunately my friend Helen knew more than I did! She wrote down the flowers she saw and the date of the trip!

We went to Pearson Falls again in 2022, probably wearing masks whenever we were around people. Here are two blogs I wrote about that trip: Pearson Falls One, and Pearson Falls Two.

Did you have fun matching Helen's list with my photos? Hope so. Of course these Iris were recently taken, or may be from the internet.

Today's quote:

Being worthy of happiness!

And to share part of my life, here are more of my pottery pieces.

Two views of two planters. I recently gave one which had been used, to a neighbor who loves plants. Since my plants had white fly fungus several years ago, I made sure she knew that since it was used, it needed to be sterilized before she planted anything in it.

  4. Pretty wildflowers. Here trilliums grow in gardens rather than wild, I think.

    1. I've never been able to transplant the wild trilliums, but then again, I may not have put them in a good place to grow.

    1. Wildflowers are so pretty to find, and I always think I'll remember their names, but then I forget them!

  6. Hmmm. I didn't see a white trillium in your photos, but did see toothwort and toadshade. I am not sure of the one under the rock overhang, maybe saxifrage? Love these photos!

  7. I can recognize the trout lily but the rest are beyond me. Not the iris though. 😀
