Update about blogCa

Who knew all this would happen afterwards! Flat Creek in November, 2024. Much changed by the force of the hurricane floods in Sept. 2024. The deck of the bridge is now under that pile of debris.

A day of rest

That night there was a hard freeze. When I looked the next morning, someone had cut all these flowers. I'm glad she had them to enjoy inside, and thus saved them from freezing.

I'll be back soon.

Today's quote:

  1. Hello,

They are lovely flowers. It is sad about the freeze, we had it too. Take care, have a good rest. Happy Sunday and a great new week!

  2. Beautiful iris, good they they were enjoyed as cut flowers.
We are enjoying crazy New England weather. A couple of days ago we had sun 45º, snow flurries, wind all in the space of about three hours. Go figure! I know I sure can’t!
I just discovered that the iris I left in their pot over the winter have survived quite nicely.

  3. Pretty irises. I don't love the plant, but I do love the flowers.

    1. I pulled out and divided a bed full of irises that hadn't been tended for years...hard work. Several years ago when I lived in a house.

  5. ...we had snow for two days last week, but the flowers seem to have held up well. I works in the garden yesterday and today is a day to take pictures.
