Update about blogCa

A small creek crosses under the Blue Ridge Parkway just as you approach the Tanbark Tunnel from the south. But if you pull over and park, you can see this little cascade on the opposite side of the Parkway before it goes under the road.

Some critters to share

Today marks the summer solstice,  late tonight actually at 10:22 pm, the longest day of the year. The heat will continue as the minutes peel away toward the Autumnal equinox. Enjoy the hours of sunshine while we have it!

    1. I didn't take those photos, except for saving them to my laptop from the internet. I agree at appreciating them!

  2. Nice solstice post, thank you. I'm swiping the Ukraine image, for my collection of Ukraine honoring picks. I've put one on my blog every day since the invasion, to support and encourage Ukraine against the invader.

    1. It's free to all from the net! Glad to also support people who are actively fighting against another authoritarian regime. But theirs is much more serious than mine, a matter of survival!

    1. Yes, a photo of kittens reminds me of the joys of watching them play. Butterflies are certainly a gift when they flutter into my life! But of course another photographer captured all these photos.

    1. I do love watching kittens. And holding them as well as hearing them purr!

  5. Both Alexa and Siri claim the solstice is tomorrow. Whatever the case, I struggle to fathom that the days will be getting shorter already. Doesn’t seem possible, somehow.
