Update about blogCa

The Art in Bloom show at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts is delightful...wonderful displays of flowers based upon the inspirations from pieces of art. There were also garden tours Saturday and Sunday throughout town in our neighbor's yards. See my other artsy blog at https://blackmtnbarb.blogspot.com/ for more of the flowers and art in the gallery.

-----------

Good news! I have been approved for an apartment in Colorado! Now I need to follow each step to move there. It may be the biggest challenge of my life. It sure feels like that at this place, standing at the bottom of the steps that need to be accomplished to attain my goal. Here's how I feel right now. The artist uses small pieces of paper for each stripe of color. I thought I'd saved it...

    1. Thanks, AC...I do have dragons on my side. Though perhaps a moving crew would be more useful!

    1. There are two by Klimt...but I'm guessing the second one is what you've chosen.

    1. Oh gosh, we're going to have the "western slang" coming around now! I'll survive, as long as I can learn whatever young people talk about in texts these days...a language that really passes me by.

  6. I would be overwhelmed, even though the final result will be very good change.
Try not to be afraid to ask for help.
I love every one of the pictures you have chosen for today.

    1. I had enough planning phone calls today to last forever, but there are still more to make! Thanks, right now I'm not asking for help. I am feeling overwhelmed with all that needs doing, but needing to set some limits. Just tired now, after a full day.

    1. So much still needs doing. Planning isn't quite done. But each day is another opportunity - just baby steps to move in the direction I want.

  8. Colorado! Is that where your youngest son lives? What a change of scenery. Keep us posted as I know you will on all that happens to get there.

    1. Yes, near Mesa Verde National Park. I visited him last year, and this is where I'd like to live next.

    1. Yes, baby steps indeed. I really pushed myself today, phone calls! But also took time out to go to 5000 feet to the Pisgah Inn for a kind of good-bye lunch with my friend. Coughing resulted, but oxygen helped a lot.

  10. Such beautiful images of mothers and babies, Barb. My granddaughter Kate had her little boy June 1 in 2023, a perfect day to be born.
I am thrilled for you about your move! Please pace yourself with all that needs to be done, though. We aren't getting any younger!

    1. Oh my yes. Finding so many other things to do rather than pack, maybe a bit of denial going on, but I shall not procrastinate. I do have plenty of time!
