And in case you missed the butterfly caterpillars, here's that post from last Thursday.

(Incidentally the first butterfly emerged that afternoon, according to the person in charge of them!)

    1. But one does not want all the spices poured into one dish. Mmmm, I shall have to ponder that.

  2. Hello, Barb
Love all your critters and photos, a great variety. The statues on the Cathedral's buttresses are cool looking. I was sorry to missed seeing the pretty Lovebirds during my visit to Arizona in 2024. I wish my memory was like the elephants, lol. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great day and a happy week ahead! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

    1. I got a kick out of the musicians on the buttress actually having a cat/lion? at the end of their parade!

  3. Interesting collection. I was fortunate enough to hear Clarissa Pinkola Estes speak once, at a storytelling conference, and to meet her later. Powerful speaker.

    1. Good that you got to see Dr. Estes. I imagine she was inspiring. At storytelling though, that would be a different genre' for her, I think.

  4. Wonderful selections of critters. We should all have our own personal elephant with a memory like that. :)

    1. A personal elephant's memory is a great idea, but I sure am not about to try to feed or cleanup for a real lady elephant!

I love the image from the cathedral.

    1. Once elder women did keep much of the knowledge of herbs and medicines...and probably the stories that made good sense.

    1. Not having any that I live with, I dearly miss the whiskers, tongues and purrs of cats. But not the litter and hair balls! So I get to just remember my sweet little furballs by rearranging their photos in my external hard drive.

  10. I like the elephant model. But if memory is cognate with power, hm. Oh well!
