  1. Sandhill cranes are amazing, their chicks so tiny next to the tall parents, but they catch up.

    1. I don’t know if they ever come through North Carolina, but I did see them in Florida. They just came to where they are already had for centuries, even though people had built subdivisions in their territory,

  6. Something magical about those birds and they surely do have darling babies. I have friends who live in the Gainesville area and they can set their clocks on the time of day the cranes fly over every evening.
