Update about blogCa

Who knew all this would happen afterwards! Dawn shows the ridge on the other side of Swannanoa Valley, Nov. 1, 2025. The ridge is so high it makes me feel safe. I can also see cars zoom past on I-40 in one gap in the trees.

Interdimensional Portal

Through a window to reflections in a window

Would this be better without the  furniture in the foreground?

Life is given to us; every moment is given. The only appropriate response therefore is gratefulness.

  1. That sign..... obviously those who put it up and could explain have gone through the portal....

Yes, better without the chairs. And crop both sides as much as you can

  2. I looked up ‘peruse’ once. I found that it is one of those words that can have opposite meanings, but the ‘read carefully’ meaning is becoming dominant.

I once thought that ‘penultimate’ meant better than ‘ultimate.’ I also thought that ‘tawdry’ was synonymous with ‘tardy’. 😀

    1. Me too, thinking penultimate was one better than, but only to find out it’s one less than!

  5. That sign should be found in Crestone, CO, which is supposed to have a connection with "the beyond!" Lovely photo and quote. Have a good week, Barbara!

    1. Didn't know CO also had a UFO area. I just saw NCIS Sidney which featured an Australian UFO area...news to me also. Guess they pop up wherever people will give interest.

  6. Hi Barbara, Visiting after seeing your blog on NaBloPoMo. That sign is wacky. My son is in Omaha right now for college and one just graduated from the same place in May. Had to share, because I'm in Omaha on occasion. That list of words actual meanings was eye opening. Great quote.

    1. OK, you have the opportunity to look around for any interdimensional portals...but be sure to tie yourself down somehow when you're out there looking! Or whatever will keep you safe. Welcome to my strange and silly sometimes blog.

  7. I like the word list, because it contains quite a few words I long to explain when people get them wrong! But then I are perfect.

    1. Oh I get so many words wrong it could be a whole book. But of course the fun these days is trying to find a word that I know, but can't remember at the moment.

  14. Ooh! I love mysteries, and that sign is definitely mysterious. Love the word list (although now I'm wondering uncomfortably how many I've been using wrong...) And- I really love that last quote. Btw I'm stopping by because I see you on the list of NaBloPoMo participants.
