From the internet
Waiting for weeks now to be put into the ground somewhere. This was in front of the building where our class met every other week. Now that the class is over, I do hope the group will gather again for further discussion. It's been such fun getting to know these people and hearing their thoughts.
Both of these two flowers were in my neighborhood...above and below.
Maybe funny...
Oh I thought it was going to be flowers and bagpipes! Perhaps a military thing for memorial Day. But no, you are bringing us some very artistically presented big pipes! Let an engineer call them conduit or God knows what they call it. You and I will enjoy our big pipes so well. Lit. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity and generously commenting on others as well. Aloha to you and all. Best wishes
ReplyDeleteI realized later that big pipes is similar to bagpipes and yet that's what my brain said these things are. However, blogs like to use plays on words!
DeleteI read it as bagpipes too. Thinking maybe a Memorial day event. Oh well. Flowers are good.
ReplyDeleteThere's really nothing beautiful about the symmetrical round long things. But the sun was shining through them!
DeleteI like both irises and hope the pipes find their proper resting place.
ReplyDeleteMe too...they were out there at least 2 weeks, since the class had met every other week. Not sure how that corner will change if/when they are put in place.
DeleteLiving simply makes loving simple, Bell Hooks has it right!
ReplyDeleteAnd yet I live in a very far from simple way. However, simple love is all around.
DeleteYes, always a good idea to knock first.
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly becoming aware that the beauty of nature which always has been admired, is more than the object of my affection, but has it's own rights, it's own lives that are to be respected by myself and all humans as equals!
DeleteBeautiful photos, Barbara! Thank you for the chuckle as well. Have a wonder filled day!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it, and it's really a bit more serious in that we should be more respectful of nature...in case we have an opportunity to knock on it's little door.
DeleteThe light on those pipes made for interesting photos.
ReplyDeleteId did like looking through them. Of course if I'd been a bit more limber, I could have walked through them, perhaps into another reality.
DeleteLove that vase! And the quote made me laugh. There are so many glorious flowers this time of year, a balm for our bruised souls.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed, the flowers do give me so much pleasure, I even bought a bouquet that was on sale.
DeleteBarbara, that was quite clever comparing the big pipes and not bagpipes 😀 and the quote was very fun to read.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed my pipes and little elfin door situation!
