Who knew all this would happen afterwards! The first flowers! which often are frozen back due to their brash arrival after a few warm days in early March.

Some needed responses to climate change
This came out years ago...I hope they are still doing it!
I contribute non-perishible goods to a pantry here in Black Mountain. There are some farming outfits who bring perishibles to those who sign up of my neighbors. And there's a meal delivery once a week for something or another in one little container. Food is being passed around.
It's interesting that I live in a "food insecure" neighborhood, but can still contribute to a food pantry for others to collect free foods. Some of my neighbors rely upon a box a week of fresh produce that's donated. I prefer to pick out a few things at the farmers market or grocery, because I tend to have produce spoil more often than not. Just don't make 10 salads in a row to eat up everythin I've purchased. So I am trying to purchase very small amounts, and shop more often.
...smart idea.
