And what do the doctors know about it as well?
A PBS presentation, well documented with four women of different ages/backgrrounds and how they finally got treated. https://www.pbs.org/video/below-the-belt-the-last-health-taboo-wmzdvy/
A clip from the video...it won't play though! Use the link. You may have to tell it who you are...Very worth while info!
Yes, another thing women have had to deal with and it's still being treated incorrectly.

...fortunately this hasn't been an issue in our family.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the information! Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised how little I knew about it. And how little it's recognized by medically trained doctors.
DeleteI had it and had surgery to remove it. It didn't prevent me having my two daughters. One of my daughters had it and it did prevent any chances of pregnancy. She had a hysterectomy in her 30s.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so sorry you suffered with this condition, and your daughter as well. But at least you knew what was really happening by the time she had it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with her, and maybe that helped her get treatment sooner.
DeleteI was not aware of it.
ReplyDeleteIt is a terrible problem. I had a partial hysterectomy because of it. Being on the pill helped, but this solved it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you had all that pain. Geese, such a terrible thing to endure!
